BRITISH COLUMBIA – BC Innovation Council is delighted to open its new office at the Vancouver Island Technology Park and announce the appointment of Nevin Thompson, Regional Collaboration Manager.

"BC Innovation Council is delighted to open a small office at the Vancouver Island Technology Park, which has been such a successful part of the technology landscape on Vancouver Island. With Nevin as our first full-time person at the office, we will be able to better support innovation on Vancouver Island and effectively service the other Regional Technology Councils that BCIC works with across the province," said Soren Harbel, VP, Innovation Development, BC Innovation Council. "Nevin brings enthusiasm and has mastered the art of building consensus across regions and sub-sectors to identify new collaboration opportunities between the private sector, our institutions of higher learning and government."

"It’s great news that BC Innovation Council has located its first BC regional office here at the Vancouver Island Technology Park," said Dale Gann, Vice President-Technology Parks, Vancouver Island Technology Park. "This is a great chance for our two organizations to work more closely together to help make British Columbia a global leader in advanced technology."
