VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Dec. 3, 2010 – HP today announced the opening of its first Canadian retail store, located in Vancouver, British Columbia. The HP Store offers consumers and small business owners a highly-personal shopping experience when purchasing their HP notebooks, all-in-one desktops, accessories and printers.
The HP Store features 1,000 square feet of HP products, and includes a section with solutions for small business owners, a feature innovation display and HP experience pods where customers can get their hands on the latest technology products.
Grand Opening day is December 3rd with a number of special activities planned in celebration, including doorcrasher specials on notebooks and printers, in-store draws, sweepstakes and special in-store appearances throughout December and January.
Juno-nominated band, Faber Drive will be at the store on December 4th between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to meet fans for an autograph signing session. Trevor Linden, retired NHL player from the Vancouver Canucks will make an appearance at the HP store on Saturday December 11th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for an autograph session with fans.

The HP store is located at 1162 Alberni Street in downtown Vancouver, and is operated in collaboration with British Columbia-.-based MarkR Management Inc., an IT Management Solutions company. The store is staffed by HP Experts who can help provide a custom shopping experience for each and every customer who walks through the door.

West Coast Customs, an organization known for providing the world’s coolest, customized vehicles will showcase its totally tricked out GMC Denali which is equipped with the hottest HP products including multiple Palm Pre, the HP Slate, ENVY and Paviliondv7 as part of the Grand Opening celebration. The vehicle will be on display at the HP store from December 2nd to December 4th.
To continue the celebration of the store opening, a series of technology seminars will be hosted at the store for customers throughout December and January. The first seminar session will take place on December 14 with AJ Vickery and Mike Agerbo. Steve Dotto, host of DottoTech will host a session at the HP store on December 21.
