For more than 10 years, the University of Victoria-Genome BC Proteomics Centre has offered proteomics services to enable academic and industry researchers around the world to apply proteomics to their own unique areas of study. The Proteomics Centre’s integrated technology development program capitalizes on advances in instrumentation to achieve unprecedented resolution, sensitivity, specificity, robustness and high-throughput for proteomics assays.  The Proteomics Centre offers these technologies for highly specific and sensitive protein analysis using newly-developed and validated approaches and state-of-the-art proteomics equipment. Services offered include protein identification, protein characterization, a number of methods for quantitative proteomics, development of assays for clinical proteomics, structural proteomics, protein and peptide imaging in tissues, and bioinformatics support. As a Genome Canada Science & Technology Innovation Centre (STIC), the Centre is the only national proteomics facility in Canada for meeting the unique needs of Canadian researchers.
