JASCO Development, a division of JASCO Research Ltd, has received an award of excellence from Provincial Treasury for the design and development of the Ministry of Finance’s BC Express Pay Internet payment system. BC Express Pay provides easily accessible on-line payment capabilities to ministry ESD applications, with an opportunity to replacing the multitude of custom-built payment solutions inside government with a single full-featured secure payment system.

BC Express Pay was launched in the fall of 2006 and was an immediate success for its first partner, Security Programs, Ministry of Public Safety & Solicitor General (MPSSG). The MPSSG e-service, also designed and developed by JASCO, allows organizations to complete and pay for criminal record checks (CRC) on-line and allows for multiple requests to be submitted and paid for during a single session.

The BC Express Pay system now allows government e-services to connect to a secure, web-service based, credit card payment interface. This system will support shopping cart applications with an automatic tie-in to centralized disbursement of funds – a true cross-ministry e-service saving all levels of government time and money.
